Author Sonika Sethi’s most recent work ‘Easter Lillies and other stories’ brings us down a distinctive dark hole where one makes certain to lose themselves in her astonishingly fully explored characters and entrancing storylines. The book was launched by ex-IAS officer Vivek Atray, former IPS officer Rajbir Deswal and Hindustan times exclusive editor Ramesh Vinayak at the Chandigarh Press Club on Monday. On the meaning of blossoms in her composing, Sethi, who is an associate professor at Sanatan Dharma College, Ambala Cantt, says ” Flowers Symbolize hope, and my writings are about the complexities of life and how hope sustains us. Easter Lilies, in particular, represent purity, rebirth, new beginnings, and hope”. Sethi’s accounts are saturated with history, a combination of the East and the West. She has an uncannily sharp imaginative streak to turn uncommon stories out of standard that is without a moment’s delay enchanting. Considering the writer as a real part of the new harvest of gifted independent essayists of the locale prepped through their composing for Hindustan Times.
