An Undertaking of S.D.College (Lahore) Ambala Cantt

To commemorate Birth Anniversaries floral tributes were paid to  BR Pt Madan Mohan Malviya & BR Sh Atal Bihari Vajpai (25th December)  Under The VedaVyaas restructuring Sanskrit Scheme of dept of Sanskrit & SDHDR & T Center, and a 2Hrs discussion session was organized on 24th December, 2018, Monday on the topic –  “Constitutional & Traditional Nationalism- Emerging Issues & Solutions” “संवैधानिक एवं पारम्परिक राष्ट्रीयता -उभरते विषय व समाधान” which was presided over by Dr Jaipraksh Gupt and conducted by Prof. Meenakshi Sharma and issue was debated among participants how constitutional nationalism betrayed very essence of Traditional nationalism which was expressed in the form of “Vande Matram” belonging to the land, culture & people between Himalaya and Hind Mahasaagar. People sacrificed their lives for this traditional nationalism which resided in the hearts and mind of people since the Vedic ages which can be seen, feel in Rashtra-Sukta, Prithvi- Sukta, Shri-Sukta and many other branches of Vedic literature. But on the other hand the bookish Constitutional nationalism  created by west oriented Nehru-Ambedkar duo and distorted by communists academicians believed that the Constitution expresses and embodies what it means to be Indian, and the people of India are who they are because of the Constitution. Constitutional nationalists believed that the India has to be defined by a fixed set of national fundamental rights. Nobody died for this constitution but this kind of nationalism took so many lives. People loved & sacrificed their lives for this land between Himalaya & Hind Mahaasagar not because of borrowed constitution but because of their Bharat-Maataa. Participants wondered about the status of Bharat-Mata in constitution? What kind of nationalism is being practiced by Tukde Tukde type gangs? There were many other questions raised by participants. It was concluded that agrarian based Bharat-Maataa nationalism is better than constitutional nationalism because it cannot and will not go beyond votes.
