Model of Applied Indian Psychology (with ref to Sanskrit Shaastras & Modern Psychology)” “᳞ वहारपरक भारतीय मनोिव᭄ान के ᮧाᱨप का पुनᳶवचार (सं᭭कृत शाᳫ एवम् आधुिनक मनोिव᭄ान के स᭠दभᭅ मɅ)” held on 15th February, 2020, in which 109 university, college teachers, research scholars & students of Sanskrit, Home Science, Psychology, Hindi, Physical education, Music, Zoology, Botany, English, Education, yoga from Haryana, Punjab & Chandigarh participated and Dr. Someshwar Dutt presided over the workshop and offered all kind of help for such interdisciplinary workshops based on Sanskrit Shaastras, be it computational Sanskrit, Indian Psychology, Indian model of human Rights or Sanskrit- Shaastra based Critical thinking or good governance etc. He encouraged all participants to make proposals based on Sanskrit Shaastras & send it to academy for approval. He insisted that all efforts must be made to Sanskrit- Shaastraas applicable, useful in all fields of knowledge. Dr Desh Bandhu was guest of honour who being a botanist suggested that Sanskrit-shaastra based traditional science of plants and five basic elements can alter & control human behaviour, mind & senses too. Evaluators of contents of workshop Dr. Anupma Sihag (GMN College) & Dr. Ravi Aggarwal (Govt PG College) both from dept of Psychology made critical observations in which they agreed that terms, concepts, methods of Sanskrit- Shaastras can certainly be used in psychology subject & they showed their willingness to have a second round of this kind of workshop in near future so that subject matter may finely updated an made more relevant and easy to understand. Sanskritist can certainly add value to psychological studies if more experimental studies be initiated with the help of psychology teachers. Dr. Vishal Bhardwaj (GNDU, Ammritsar), Dr. Vinod Kumar (LPU, Jalandhar), Dr. Pradeep Rai, KUK), Dr Mayank, PU, Patiala, Dr. R.K Gupta, Dr. Kuldeep Singh, Dr. Bimla Lathar, Dr. Sukhbir, Dr. CK Jha, Dr Akshay Mishra, Dr, Rajendra, Dr. Shyam Nath Jha, Dr. Ashok, Dr. Sajjan Singh, Dr. Mukesh Sharma, Dr. Rajesh, Dr, Piyush, Prof. Loveleen & other participants discussed about the Sanskrit-Shaastra based Human behaviour and its different types and levels in 1st session, followed by Body, Senses and breath was discussed in 2nd session and how they are related and influence each other. In 3rd session Antahkarana (Mind), its meaning, its 21 constituents, evaluative methods were discussed. In the open house session many students raised different kinds of questions & some issues to. Astrology based personality analysis was discussed and different types of Sanskrit-Shaastra based personality evaluation questionnaires were also demonstrated. Problems of Defining Indian Psychology and differentiating it from western psychology were also discussed. Issues regarding the Sanskrit- Shaastra based psychological terms, concepts were also discussed. Dept of Sanskrit initiated the discussion with a PPt presentation on the following topics- defining human nature मानवीय èवभाव का पǐरभाͪषकȧकरण , Body, Senses & Breath देह, इिÛदयां एवम ् Ĥाण, Nervous system नाड़ी / èनायुमÖडल, Mind अÛतःकरण, Emotions and sentiment भाव , Process of knowledge £ान ĤͩĐया , Action कम[, Language/ Speech वाक् / भाषा, Corrective methods (उपाय ᮧᳰᮓयाएँ- परामशᭅ प᳍ितयां, योग , ᮧाणायाम, ᭟यान, मुᮤाएं , ᭠यास, िचᳰक᭜सकᳱय ᭔योितष, कथा, संगीत, म᭠ᮢ तथा अ᭠य कलाएं आᳰद) and with Sanskrit- Shaastra based an applied evaluative technique which was designed & developed on the bases of 54 psychological triangles of ShriYantra followed by personality evaluation questionnaires based on different Sanskrit-Shaastras.
